Katy was born in Highgate, spent the majority of her childhood moving all over South East London with her single mother. Her early passion for music and love of 90s R&B, American and Caribbean cultures growing up have heavily contributed to her influences today. Singers such as Aaliyah, TLC, Usher and Lauren Hill are amongst some of Katy's favourite artists now accompanied by acts such as Jhene Aiko, Cocaine 80's, The Weeknd, Evanescence and Frank Ocean.
